Ojcow National Park
It is the smallest national park in Poland and covers the central part of the
Prądnik Valley which is a part of the Sąspowska Valley and several other
smaller valleys.
In addition to the obvious and beautiful nature, it hides numerous interesting
attractions. It features characteristic white limestone rocks in amazing shapes,
numerous caves and bats- being the symbol of the park.
The most popular attraction of the Ojców National Park is the Pieskowa Skała
Castle with its most recognizable rock called the Club of Hercules, Czarcia or
Sokolica.
Interesting facts - in the castle scenes to the most popular Polish films like
Janosik, Ogniem I Mieczem or Stawka większa niż życie were filmed.
Still these are not the end of the Ojcow National Park attractions! In the
nearby Ojców you will also find the ruins of the medieval castle. Here, also just
meters from the parking lot, the trail leading to the Krakowska Gate begins -
one of the several rock gates in the Ojców National Park also to Łokietek
Cave, Dark Cave and The Glove.
